Love and corn on the cob / Έρωτας και καλαμπόκι

Τα 2 βασικά στοιχεία ενός Ελληνικού καλοκαιρίου.. προέκυψαν από μια βόλτα με ποδήλατο παραλιακά.

He was physically bigger than her and all you could see was this thin little arm across his back. This is the best I could do without being branded a peeping Tom. It's a VERY tricky business this drawing on the spot. 

Αυτός ήταν πολύ πιο μεγαλόσωμος από την κοπέλα και το μόνο που μπορούσες να δεις για λίγο ήταν ένα αδύνατο χεράκι σε μια φαρδιά πλάτη. Ιδού τα αποτελέσματα. Το καλύτερο που μπορούσα να κάνω χωρίς να με βγάλουνε ματάκια! Έχει και τα προβλήματά του αυτή η ασχολία. 

This is the fastest sketch I have ever done. I had to draw it standing up on the roadside. That's a first for me. It's more caricature than study but it still manages to capture the old boy corn vendor. He grills the corn on the spot using a charcoal fire, sprays it with water and sprinkles it with salt. Very popular, especially with beach goers, and every Summer these little makeshift barbecues appear in strategic locations.

Το πιο γρήγορο σκίτσο που έχω κάνει και φαίνεται. Έπρεπε να σταθώ στην άκρη του δρόμου, κάτι που δεν κάνω συνήθως. Η αλήθεια είναι ότι πέρα από τους έρωτες, ελληνικό καλοκαίρι χωρίς καλαμποκά δεν διανοείται. ('Το μυαλό σου στο φαεί' θα πούνε μερικοί.)
