Happy Holidays / Καλές Γιορτές

Aghiou Nikolaou (St Nicholas) street in a festive spirit. I admit we could do better with the Christmas decorations. This is currently the town's most popular cafe spot. It is the main road that leads down to the old port at the end of which is another cafe... naturally. Today was a very busy day with shoppers. So much so that I had a hard time getting the same cafe seat as yesterday which is when I started this drawing. Two plump ladies had a lot to say and smoke. Christmas presents in Greece are given on new year's day. There's a time delay with Santa or St Vasilios.. maybe it's a Russian thing... Although I think most were strolling along enjoying the good weather rather than doing last minute shopping. I have a tough time drawing crowds. I'll work that into my new year's resolution list. Improvement on all fronts required.
Η Αγιου Νικολάου στις γιορτές... αν και στους Χριστουγεννιάτικους στολισμούς δεν έχουμε ιδιαίτερη έφεση σαν πόλη.  Ποιό κεντρικά δεν γίνεται. Πολύς κόσμος σήμερα. Το σκιτσάκι το είχα ξεκινήσει χτες και σήμερα δυσκολεύτικα να βρω αδειανή την θέση στην οποία το ξεκίνησα. Δύο εύσωμες κυρίες είχαν πολλά να πούνε και πολλά τσιγάρα να καπνίσουνε. Το πέρα δώθε από την καφετέρια στα μαγαζιά περιμένοντας να φύγουνε έκανε καλό στις γάμπες.
